Highlights

– Part-time position (~20/hrs per week)

– $17-18/hr (depending on experience)

– Mix of onsite/remote shifts weekly. Must have own vehicle.

– Overview: Office admin, marketing implementation, product tracking & packing (some delivery/returns).

Details

Unshelf Design is seeking a marketing and administrative assistant for our interior decorating and home staging company. Applicants should be interested in maintaining business processes and content creation.

Applicants must be:

  • VERY detail oriented**
  • Professional & communicate clearly
  • Tech savvy (excel, social apps, G suite, CRMs, Design files)
  • Eager to learn & work independantly
  • Understanding of the many hats required for small business.
  • Experienced in social media content creation
  • Experienced in data collection and analytics
  • Must have own reliable vehicle

Who We Are

Unshelf Design is a local interior decorating and staging company with a brick and mortar design studio and warehouse located in SE Calgary. We have been in business since January 2020.

We specialize in cosmetic residential redesigns that inject joy back into people’s homes so they can relove them for years to come (or help stage them so they sell for more money, faster). 

 

Fun Fact: Sarah Kirkpatrick, owner of Unshelf Design & Boutique, owned and operated a successful digital marketing company for 10 years. Sarah will be the point of contact and mentor for this position.

Job roles

Admin Assistant Tasks:

– Adding products to digital quote for client projects
– Product receiving & checks and updating client tracking sheets
– Creating and updating client project binders (photos and material info & samples)
– Onboarding design and staging clients – creating google drive folders, asana and dubsado projects, populating with documentation.
– Styling sheet updates onsite for design project install
– SOP (standard operating procedure) maintenance and updates
– Documenting & counting inventory.
– Sample pickups & returns

Marketing Assistant Tasks:

– Content capturing onsite at clients homes (staging & design installs)
– Create social posts for Unshelf Design (instagram reels, posts, stories)
– Updating project portfolio on wordpress website
– Monthly newsletter creation
– Supporting and documenting in-person workshops
– Marketing tickets for workshops through social channels, newsletters, etc.
– Social & Email prospecting outreach (instagram & email)
– Additional marketing experience an asset (automations, sales, etc)

Staging Assistant:

– Packing and transporting staging rental decor, artwork, and furnishings to staging client’s home
– Unpacking rentals, hanging art (will train), and photographing/videoing home staging
– Packing and de-staging rentals from staging clients’. Transportation back to warehouse, unpacking and organizing.
