Time to renovate!

{Cue fear? excitement? overwhelm? daydreaming?}

Do you have the design itch? Ready to mix things up in your home? Want to tackle those projects that have been on the ‘to do list’ since you bought the place? Tired of walking into ‘that’ room and feeling stress instead of joy? Maybe you are flipping a house and want to make sure the finishes you choose will attract the widest audience!

If you’ve been to every tile store in the city and have a bag of samples you could drown in, this workshop is for you. If you just got back from the flooring store and still don’t understand the difference between LVP and engineered hardwood – and is ‘vinyl’ like your grandma’s vinyl – yikes, this workshop is for you! The countertops are all lovely but they are so expensive that you want to make sure you choose wisely, so this workshop os for you! Heck, maybe you just can’t pick the right ‘white’ paint colour (there are hundreds after all), and you’ve heard ‘white is out’ so now you don’t know what you want! You guessed it, this workshop is for you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get to keep the samples?

We will give you a list of where all of the samples are from and you can go get them from the stores. We need to keep our sample library intact for the next group!

Will you be hands on to help me? I don't know if I have the best eye for design.

That is the benefit of this workshop! You only have to share me with 7 other people, and my design assistant will also be there to help. We will be very hands-on making suggestions and helping you select finishes that look great together!

Additional Details

My name is Sarah Kirkpatrick and I am an Interior Designer here in Calgary. These are all cries I hear every day when people book consultations with me. But I know not everyone wants to work with an interior designer – whether it be that you want to do it yourself or just don’t have it in the budget right now.

I get that and I still want to help.

I have put together a 4-hour hands-on interior design workshop to help homeowners get their renovations started and have access to an interior designer for a fraction of the cost of hiring one.

At the end of this workshop you will leave with:

  • A completed design board & colour scheme
  • A photo of your very own flatlay that we will build together. This flatlay will act as a ‘blueprint’ for your renovation – giving you the pieces for the design you’ve been dreaming of.
  • An emailed list of all the finishes you chose and where you can get them! Heck, we may even be able to get you some discounts 😉

Here’s what we will cover:
